Alexis’s favorite t-shirt in 2016 said: “Be nice to me or I’ll replace you with a chatbot.” Looking back, that’s probably where the idea for Campfire AI began. However Alexis needed to found and sell his first company, and build a chatbot team at a marketing agency, before getting there. Fast-forward to 2020, and that’s when he co-founded Campfire AI with Ivan Westerhof & Tomas Staelens. As C.E.O. and Managing Partner, Alexis is conversational AI’s biggest evangelist, because his number one pet peeve is inefficiency.
