What languages are spoken?
Nearly every language is spoken at the event, we have attendees from different countries. However, all event communications and signage are in English, the official language of the event.

Is there a minimum age to attend MWC?
The minimum age to attend MWC is 16 years old.
Are minors allowed to access MWC Barcelona?
Attendees must be aware that MWC Barcelona may not be a suitable environment for individuals younger than 16 years of age (“Minors”) due to the presence of large crowds, loud noises and music and significant visual stimulation.
However, the GSMA acknowledges that there may be circumstances where an attendee has to bring a Minor to the Event in the absence of adequate childcare. For the avoidance of any doubt, bringing a Minor to the Event for any reason other than the absence of adequate childcare is not permitted.
Any attendee who wishes to bring a Minor to the Event in the absence of adequate childcare must promptly request prior approval from the GSMA (such approval being granted at GSMA’s sole discretion) through the Application for Minors’ Access which can be found here.
The process for approving a Minor’s entry to the Event can take up to 72 working hours and any onsite requests may significantly delay entry to the Event. Therefore, the GSMA encourages all attendees who need to bring a Minor with them to submit the Application for Minor’s Access well in advance of the Event.
We invite all attendees who are accompanied by a Minor at the Event to visit our Minor Friendly Space which can be found in the Event Map within the MWC Barcelona 2025 Event App.
