GSMA Mobile for Development

Creating meaningful impact

For almost two decades, the Mobile for Development team has been devoted to unlocking the potential of digital and mobile innovation to address the inequalities of our world.

By producing actionable research, advocating for change, de-risking innovation and providing technical assistance, and by creating impactful partnerships between innovators, mobile operators, governments and donors, we are contributing to building a world where no one is left behind. Our collective work has already reached over 260 million lives – and counting.

Continuing to build on what we’ve done before, we will once again convene valued partners and stakeholders, share insights and discuss global topics including climate, financial and digital inclusion, digital utilities, digital health, digital public infrastructure (DPI), emerging technologies including AI, gender, humanitarian innovation and startup innovation. A more detailed agenda will be available soon.

As we prepare for another impactful MWC Barcelona, we invite you to engage with our work, be part of the conversation, and explore opportunities to build meaningful partnerships. To register your interest to attend the event, please email us at m4devents@gsma.com.

Connectivity for Good at the GSMA Pavilion, Hall 4

This year at the GSMA Pavilion, we will be taking our visitors on a journey through the emotional landscape behind the numbers. For MWC26 Barcelona, the Connectivity for Good team will deliver an unforgettable interactive experience. Using film, soundbites and storytelling, we will highlight the best of our research, insights and data, showcasing the transformative impact of connectivity on people across the globe. Sustainability, climate, AI, emerging technologies, digital and financial inclusion, policy, regulation and spectrum—attendees explored the key topics and initiatives that shaped our industry.

This work is supported by the Gates Foundation, The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office of the United Kingdom Government, The German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ), The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), Visa and supported by The GSMA and its members.
