Speaker Bio
Essi Ahnlund has been with Amazon Web Services (AWS) for 5 years. She is currently leading the Global Sales Teams for the Telecom Industry Business Unit in the Americas. Essi is also leading the Women in Telecom Chapter at AWS, serves as ID&E Ambassador and is on the Board for Women at AWS Industries.
Prior to AWS Essi was at Sprint (now T-Mobile) for 20 years. Her last position there was a Vice President for Enterprise and Business Development Sales, where she led a team of 50 individuals responsible for managing 1,800 largest business clients in the West Area with annual revenue of $1B.
Essi was in various other management positions at Sprint. Under Essi’s leadership there, her team was ranked #1 in the country for performance multiple times. Essi was a President’s Circle winner and President’s Honors winner multiple times and received many Leadership Awards at Sprint, including National Leadership Award and West Area Leadership Award.
Essi was born and raised in Bulgaria and speaks 3 languages. She has an MBA in Computer Information Systems from Golden Gate University in San Francisco and a BA degree in Marketing from University of Nevada, Reno. She is married to her husband Eric and has 2 kids, Jack (24) and Grace (22).
