Session Description

Mobile World Congress Barcelona 2024 will provide a world-class exhibition, an award-winning conference programme and outstanding networking opportunities.

Cryptographically relevant Quantum computers will be able to break the encryption commonly used to protect networks and customer data. The telco industry needs to prepare for the Quantum era and plan for the transition towards post Quantum cryptography. This process affects the entire telecom supply chain and ecosystem: Operators, network and IT vendors, integrators, standards and open-source communities.

This open Seminar will provide perspectives from Operators, Vendors, Standardisation Bodies and Governments on the following areas:

• Eco-system update – focussing on progress, challenges and new developments

• First presentation of the “Post Quantum Crypto Guidelines for Telco Use Cases”, providing an assessment of the specific risks and security implications for multiple telco internal use cases & customer offerings

• The steps which need to be taken by network operators to prepare for migration to post Quantum cryptography and a perspective on the key dependencies

• New product and service opportunities

• Demonstrations, PoCs and showcases
