Session Description

Digital gaming has grown in recent years, with 58% of adults playing games on any device at least once per week. All of which is driven by the shift to mobile, and cloud gaming, which is forecast to grow from USD 2.4 billion at the end of 2022 to USD 8.2 billion by 2025, reducing barriers to entry.
Cross platform play and a huge growth in competitive gaming, including esports, are accelerating engagement. Gaming subscriptions are on the rise, supporting gaming economics and attracting new players and merger and acquisition activity.
We will explore key trends and showcase partners leading in this ecosystem.

Emerging technologies are pushing the frontiers for gaming with XR, generative AI, the metaverse and blockchain all expected to bring new growth to gaming by attracting new players, increasing engagement from existing players, and opening up new revenue streams.
The market for XR headsets is forecast to grow from $40m in 2021 to $400m with Apple, Meta and Pico featuring strongly. Gaming is currently the key use case. Haptic feedback is making gaming more immersive and realistic than ever before. Mobile technologies continue to develop to create brilliant experiences in the entertainment vertical.
