Kaiwei Tang is an industrial designer and the co-founder and CEO of Light, a Brooklyn-based, design-driven technology company. Light is globally recognized for its Light Phones, which aim to promote digital wellness and enrich the human experience. Created in 2015 inside Google’s Design Incubator in New York City, Light has earned widespread acclaim over the last decade for its innovative approach to consumer technology, delivering devices intentionally designed to reduce screen time rather than maximize engagement. 

Tang and his company are leading a grassroots revolution against our over-connected smartphone culture. His design vision has led to multiple international honors and awards, including iF Design Award, Red Dot Design Award, IDSA Design Award, Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies and Products, Good Design Awards, 100 Most Innovative Products by Times, A’Design Awards, and the Phone Design of the Decade by Creative Blog.
