Speaker Bio

Florian combines hands-on knowledge from an entrepreneurial and venture capital background. As MD of the Deutsche Telekom hubraum Fund, he is responsible for the strategic early-stage venture investment activities of one of Europe's preeminent corporate innovation hubs and leads an international team of investment professionals based in Berlin, Krakow and Tel Aviv.

As VC and through private investments, Florian has build a portfolio of >50 early-stage investments, with notable successes like UBIRCH (creator of Germanys official CovPass Covid tracking app), Blinkist (sold to Go1 in 2023), Mr. Spex (IPO'd 2021), Flexperto (sold to RGI in 2021), Texel (sold to DAZN in 2021) and ciValue (sold to Nielsen in 2022).

He has 20+ years experience in building technology startups from scratch and has founded three companies himself in the field of mobile software, eHealth and cybersecurity. In 2003, as founder and CEO of Kupferwerk (now called Intive) he created Germany's leading specialist for mobile applications with now more than 3000 employees worldwide (sold to PE fund Enterprise Investors).

Florian has an academic background in Information Technology as well as Business Management with professional certifications in Private Equity and Venture Capital from Technical University of Munich and Harvard Business School.
