Speaker Bio
Alex is Managing Director of T.Capital, the strategic investment arm of Deutsche Telekom. The team deploys strategic capital in early- and late-stage companies that have synergies with DT and also manages DT's holdings in portfolio companies across current and retired funds of DT.
Prior to T.Capital, Alex worked for VMware in Silicon Valley initially creating partner programs growing the company’s strategic ecosystem. He then became founding member of the Corporate Development and Strategy team and made numerous investments and acquisitions. He served as board member/observer at many of VMware’s portfolio companies.
Alex started his career in sales as an account manager for Wind River where he also held positions in product management and business development.
He graduated from RWTH Aachen and TU Munich, Germany as a Dipl.-Ing. Elektrotechnik (MS-EE equiv.).
