David Muirhead a Sr. Engineering Director at Honeywell Aerospace Technologies.
He has an extensive background in wireless communications engineering where he spent the early part of his career working on cellular infrastructure products for 3G and 4G industries. This including embedded software development, ASIC design and simulation and modelling of wireless cellular systems.
He was part of a team that developed the world’s smallest femtocell 3G base station. He was also the CTO of Commagility a 5G NR infrastructure technology developer.
Dave joined Honeywell Aerospace’s Services and Connectivity business unit in 2011 where his primary responsibilities included engineering leadership for satellite communications technologies for the civil aviation industry. More recently in 2020 he led the development of Honeywell’s small SATCOM + 5G terminal for UAS BLVOS connectivity. He is now responsible for innovation and growth for the advanced air mobility market and technologies for next generation of LEO constellations and 5G NTN. “
David holds PhD in Wireless Communications from the University of Surrey.
