Speaker Bio
Lily Steele, CFA is an Investment Director at the Global Innovation Fund (GIF). She leads on GIF's agricultural risk capital portfolio, with a broad repertoire extending to the mobility, circular economy and energy sectors as well. Lily works across portfolio management, origination and deal making.
Lily sits on the board of two of GIF's portfolio companies and is actively involved in GIF's gender and climate investments. Previously Lily worked with early-stage social ventures based in Kenya and Madagascar, providing advisory and business development services, as well as capital raising support. She worked with startups across the clean energy and water and sanitation sectors.
Lily has extensive experience within the investment industry, starting her career providing investment advisory and fiduciary management services to large institutional investors before moving into impact investment. Lily holds a BSc in Economics, and the Investment Management Certificate. She is also a Chartered Financial Analyst with the CFA Institute.
