Speaker Bio
Tanvi Deshpande is an Insights Manager at GSMA Mobile for Development (M4D). As part of the Central Insights Unit at the GSMA M4D, she is responsible for conducting research and developing insights on the role of innovations and frontier technologies in advancing sustainable and inclusive development. Tanvi is currently working on a research project to explore the opportunity of artificial intelligence-based solutions to address developmental challenges in Africa.
Earlier in her career, Tanvi worked with Intellecap, a development advisory firm based in South Asia and East Africa, where she worked on understanding the use of technology for sustainable agriculture, food systems, and climate resilience. She also has experience working in the public policy sector in India.
Tanvi holds an MBA from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Applied Statistics from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
