Dominik von Mengden is a System Engineer at Airbus Urban Mobility (AUM) - an independent entrepreneurial entity that was founded by Airbus to build the needed expertise to make the vision of Advanced Air Mobility a reality. In addition to the development of a passenger-carrying electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) vehicle, AUM is dedicated to building the ecosystem around it to help shape an entire industry from the ground up. In this context, Dominik is responsible for the eVTOL airspace integration work as part of the UAS traffic management (UTM) team, working on connectivity, procedures, digitization of airspace services, and the simulation thereof.

Prior to his role at AUM, Dominik worked on several other innovation programs within the Airbus Group, predominantly within the field of uncrewed aircraft development, design of autonomous multi-platform aircraft systems, as well as Model-Based Systems Engineering.

Dominik holds a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering from the Technical University of Munich, Germany.
