Juan José holds a Ph.D. from the University of Barcelona (Spain), specialized in talent identification and development in football.
Throughout his career, he has worked in professional football clubs with a focus on player development.
Currently, Juan José is the Director of Sports Sciences of one of the most prolific youth academies in the Americas, offering firsthand experience and insights into the factors that contribute to the varying success levels of professional football academies. A key aspect of this success is ensuring that the club's talent development structure aligns with the overarching goal of identifying, nurturing, and promoting talent. All of this, accompanied by science-based practices adapted to the context and culture of the place.
