Speaker Bio

Jackie Jung is Vice President of Global Operations Strategy and Corporate Sustainability at Western Digital.  Jackie leads Western Digital’s 4th Industrial Revolution (4IR) Transformation delivering world-class operational excellence, augmenting the workforce, and advancing ESG goals.


Jackie led Western Digital’s five advanced manufacturing sites to be named the World Economic Forum (The Forum) “Lighthouse,” demonstrating advancement and implementation of 4IR technology.  Individually, she received Connected World’s “2021 Women of Technology” award.


Jackie’s role expanded in 2023 when she was tasked with leading Western Digital’s end-to-end sustainability strategy. She leads materiality assessment, reporting and goal setting to shape and deliver the company’s sustainability commitments. She drives to minimize Western Digital’s environmental footprint, promote sustainable and responsible developments across all areas of business.


Since joining Western Digital in 1996, Jackie has held senior management positions across the company. With a wealth of international experience, including a five-year assignment at the company’s factories in Asia, Jackie has deep knowledge in process and product engineering, program management, and manufacturing operations.


She serves as a council member for the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council for Advanced Manufacturing and Value Chains, and is an executive committee member for the US Center for Advanced Manufacturing.


Jackie holds a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from UCLA.
