Session Description

Technology plays an increasingly important role in our daily lives.

In Red Cross we work regularly with devices that promote independence and autonomy, accompanying and helping the most vulnerable groups by facilitating their permanent connection with our operations centers.

We improve the stay of children in hospitals thanks to augmented reality, we identify situations of danger or alert and understand what worries society with social networks, we help people find employment by training them online and we encourage digital volunteering to support social causes without having to travel physically.

On the other hand, the needs of the most vulnerable groups in the coming years can only be addressed with the help of technology: drones in rescue actions, voice assistants to mitigate the loneliness of people, artificial intelligence to help us make better decisions or the mapping of remote places not reached by conventional platforms in which maps support humanitarian actions are key for us.

Join us in this session to discover the stories where technology and social come together to address social challenges in innovative ways and generate a positive impact in their communities.
