We understand that during this uncertain period, safety is of paramount importance. So we’ve created Check In To Get In, explaining all the measures you need to take before you travel to the venue and help keep everyone safe. This year, every attendee must register online. And our dedicated My MWC App lets you navigate the event touch-free with your own digital badge.
We think you’ll find that by everyone taking the necessary precautions, we can contribute to an environment that encourages safety for all.
Read on to find out more about our approach to attendee requirements.
Upload your ID
This year, registering online is mandatory, but we’ve made it as easy as possible.
Remember, everyone needs to provide a photo, as well as a passport or EU national ID before arrival – or you’ll be denied entry.
Make ID checks a BREEZ
Use your webcam to take a picture or provide a clear photo. We’ll use this to match your ID and validate your identity.
Choose BREEZ, our facial recognition technology, to fast-track your photo and ID check.
You’ll also enjoy touchless entry for added convenience and security with dedicated BREEZ lanes at the venue.
Opting for our standard service means your ID and photo will be checked and finalised (subject to approval) by an agent. This process can take multiple days but we will endeavor to complete your ID check ASAP.
Remember, all attendees, staff, visitors and suppliers must supply a valid mobile number for the purpose of Covid-19 protocols, track and tracing and other essential contact purposes.
Download the My MWC App
My MWC is our dedicated, bespoke app designed for MWC21. Here you can obtain your Digital Badge before entry to the event.
This will activate and allow entrance to the event once registration, self-declaration and testing is completed.
Complete Health Control Form/Pass Test
Before you fly, all attendees will need to complete a Health Control Form (FCS). This is necessary to obtain your QR code which will give you access to airport entry and departure.
Also, before flying, all passengers from a country or zone of risk (except for children under 6 years old), must be able to present a PCR or TMA for SARS-CoV-2 with a negative result – carried out in the 72 hours prior to arrival in Spain. Remember, passengers may be asked for proof of the test result at any time. For more information, consult the Ministry of Health FAQs
Complete registration to activate your digital badge
The first step to Check In To Get In is registering online, which includes having your ID checked prior to arrival. This is mandatory for everyone. When registration is completed and you have a valid, negative Covid-19 test, you can download our My MWC app to get your MWC Digital Badge for touchless entry.
Have a valid negative test result
To enter Fira Barcelona, the MWC21 venue, you must have a valid, negative rapid test result. The test result will be valid for 72 hours. For attendees, staff, visitors and suppliers, rapid tests will be available at MWC relevant testing centres (pricing details to be announced).
Complete our required daily health questionnaire
Before entering the venue and to ensure the MWC digital badge is active, you must complete a health questionnaire, accessed via the My MWC app on a daily basis.
Stay Safe (e.g. masks, disinfectant, etc)
Make regular use of the 1,300 disinfectant dispensers placed around the venue, wear a FFP2 (Filtering Facepiece Respirators) mask and adhere to social distancing requirements.
BREEZ fast-tracks your photo & ID check. And our dedicated BREEZ lanes at the venue give you touchless entry.
