This year the Ministerial Programme is expanding and will be located across two sites: CC4 and CC5. The sites are situated opposite each other in the Upper Walkway, between halls 3 and 4, at the heart of Fira Gran Via.
The Ministerial Programme is an invitation-only event. The space is accessible to those invited to the Programme only. Check our eligibility criteria..
We encourage your delegation to contact Gray Dawes Travel free of charge to help you with a range of travel-related advice. Attendees may also work directly with Gray Dawes to book their flights.
You are also encouraged to book your accommodation as early as possible to avoid disappointment, especially if your delegation requires suites or multiple rooms within the same hotel. Visit MWC Barcelona Hotels to view rates and make a reservation with our official partner bnetwork.
Please be careful when booking your hotel. Unfortunately, an event as big as this attracts unscrupulous companies who prey on attendees. See our advice.
If your country has a diplomatic presence in Spain, we strongly recommend that they facilitate your delegation’s logistical arrangements in Barcelona. Certain aspects, such as the airport’s protocol facilities, can only be requested by your local embassy or consulate.
Please inform your delegation manager if your local mission is facilitating any of the following so that we may advise them further:
Members of your local mission may accompany the delegation to the Ministerial Programme and MWC Barcelona. However, all attendees require an MWC Barcelona pass with additional Ministerial Programme hall access.
One complimentary MWC Barcelona pass is available to the Ambassador. This complimentary pass is strictly non-transferable to other members of the local mission. Please inform your delegation manager as early as possible if your Ambassador will attend. A 30% discount is available for all other embassy officials.
Citizens of several countries require a visa to enter Spain. Please check with your closest Spanish Embassy or Consulate in advance, as processing times and requirements vary. The GSMA is unable to request priority processing, or to assist you if your visa is denied – ensure you allow sufficient processing time.
A visa letter may be requested when completing the registration for your MWC Barcelona pass, or by logging back into your registration account at a later point. Please note that for a letter to be issued, the registration must be complete with no payment outstanding.
The working language of the GSMA Ministerial Programme is English with simultaneous interpretation to French and Spanish available at most sessions.
If you wish to bring a personal interpreter, please inform your Ministerial Programme delegation manager as early as possible.
