A series of sessions with input from a range of different speakers, which focused on one essential topic around how connectivity is driving progress across industries. This year, the topics included generative AI, smart cities, 5G IoT, security and eSIM.
5G Future
This summit examines how monetisation is practically achieved across that journey, from enabling programmable capabilities through standardised APIs, to scaling differentiated services with 5G-Advanced, embedding AI to optimise performance and economics, and ensuring that today’s architectural decisions align with the intelligent, open networks expected in the 6G era.
IoT
The IoT Summit 2026 brings together industry leaders, innovators, and technology experts to explore how 5G and emerging connectivity technologies are transforming (IoT) landscape. This year’s focus is on simplifying IoT deployment, reducing complexity, and enabling widespread adoption across industries and geographies.
Agentic AI
The Agentic AI Summit cuts through the hype to deliver a sharp, four-hour briefing on how Agentic AI—systems capable of complex, goal-oriented execution—is set to revolutionize Telecoms Networks and End-User Services. As 5G-A infrastructure matures, this summit addresses the critical questions for MNOs and the ecosystem: How do we move from automated processes to truly autonomous network operations? How do we securely and profitably expose network capabilities to external AI agents to unlock new consumer and enterprise revenue streams?
Digital Health
In its second year the MWC Digital Health Summit brings together global healthcare leaders, policy makers, innovators and the connectivity ecosystem to explore how advanced connectivity technologies are transforming care delivery. From interoperability to infrastructure, real-time data to remote diagnostics, this half-day summit examines the critical role of secure, scalable connectivity in building a healthier more resilient future.
eSIM
This summit will convene leading experts to explore how eSIM is reshaping connectivity across consumer and IoT markets. We’ll examine real-world deployments, discuss challenges and opportunities, and assess how emerging technologies may influence the next phase of eSIM scalability and security.
Mobile Identity
The mobile industry is uniquely positioned to tackle identity challenges, underpinning digital safety and trust. The Mobile Identity Summit will showcase the sector’s momentum and shed light on the many dimensions where mobile and identity converge and evolve.
MVNO
In this year’s edition of the MVNO Summit at MWC Barcelona 2026 we will hear from leading MVNOs and their ecosystem partners on what it takes to thrive and survive in a rapidly evolving market. We will delve into new growth strategies, emerging trends such as travel eSIM, customer centricity and the technologies that will future-proof your MVNO business. Join us as we shine a spotlight on the transformative role MVNOs play in driving innovation, fostering new business models and embracing new and existing technology solutions.
Quantum Technologies
The objective of this seminar is to define a guidance to the telco industry to define strategic planning and to establish the collaboration with industry and regulatory bodies to make real the potential of the Quantum Technology in the Telco Industry. Hearing from leading organisations, participants will learn how and what key ecosystem players are doing to drive forward the Quantum Technologies of the telco industry.
Satellite & NTN
Momentum in the telco-satellite convergence story is shifting from pilots to commercial launches, some of which have already happened, although most of which will come online in 2025 and in the 2-3 years following. This reflects growing ecosystem maturity and pragmatism among operators of the value of satellite in bridging coverage gaps while targeting new (potentially higher) revenue streams.
Security
The GSMA Security Summit will bring together industry leaders, security professionals, and stakeholders from across the mobile ecosystem to address the most pressing challenges in telecoms security. This half-day programme provides a platform for strategic insight, practical collaboration, and forward-thinking dialogue, ensuring the mobile industry remains resilient and trusted in a rapidly evolving threat landscape.
Smart Airports
Building on the success of the Smart Airports summit at MWC Barcelona 25, this year’s edition will unpack how telcos can unlock new revenue models, support critical airport applications and drive seamless digital journeys for passengers, airlines and operators alike.
Tower Summit
This summit brings together mobile operators, towercos, investors, and policymakers to explore how smarter collaboration can unlock cost efficiency, sustainability, and long-term resilience across the connectivity ecosystem. From regulatory advocacy to energy investment and in-building connectivity, the programme addresses the practical barriers to forging a new partnership-driven relationship today.
OpenGateway
At MWC Barcelona 2026, the GSMA Open Gateway Summit will evaluate the progress of GSMA Open Gateway as it enters it’s third year and ask what still needs to be done to accelerate adoption of network APIs within the industry. A key focus of the summit will be the evolution of the network API ecosystem including the role of mobile network operators, aggregators, channel partners and developers in driving the adoption of standardised network APIs.
