Speaker Bio
In his role as Senior Director at the GSMA, Niall oversees the development of the course content for the Capacity Building training programme. He is also responsible for running the GSMA’s highly-successful online training platform, which serves thousands of hours of course content to users every month.
Furthermore, Niall acts as a trainer for several of the GSMA’s courses, including the Internet of Things and 5G courses. He has delivered face-to-face training to policymakers and regulators in numerous countries across Africa, Asia and Europe.
He is also the policy lead for the GSMA's AI for Impact initiative, which works with mobile operators and global agencies to establish common frameworks to sustainably scale AI and mobile big data solutions in ways that respect and protect individuals' privacy.
Before joining the GSMA, he worked as a journalist covering developments in the technology sector for many of the world’s leading magazines and newspapers. He holds a BA in Journalism, Film and Broadcasting from the University of Wales.
