Information
Acne results from an imbalance in the skin microbiome. Although the pathogenic infections responsible for acne have been extensively studied, little is known about the elements of the microbiome that protect against it. Through NGS, we have identified a bacterial species capable of inhibiting C.acnes, the main infectious agent of acne.
We propose a cosmetic formulation that includes the supernatant of this species as an antibiotic-free solution. Given that current treatments use large amounts of antibiotics and that acne is a highly prevalent disease, this strategy will greatly alleviate the global emergency due to the increase of multi-resistant bacteria.
