Nicolai is the Founder and CEO of Match-Maker Ventures (MMV), a growth platform specialized in scaling innovation across the global telecom and broader communications ecosystem. MMV works at the intersection of technology companies, operators, OEMs, and data infrastructure players, focusing on turning innovation into measurable business outcomes.


Since 2015, MMV has been active in more than 40 countries, represents 16 portfolio companies from 12 countries, and has structured over 100 commercial collaborations with a cumulative deal volume exceeding USD 500 million. The firm is known for its operator-native approach, combining senior-level access with hands-on go-to-market execution, from opportunity validation to deal closure and expansion.


Prior to founding MMV, nicolai was a Principal in Arthur D. Little’s global telecom leadership team, advising boards and C-level executives on strategy, growth, and large-scale transformation initiatives. He also lectures at the Vienna University of Economics and Business.


nicolai regularly chairs and keynotes at leading industry forums including Mobile World Congress, TM Forum DTW, and Network X. His professional experience spans more than 35 markets, with a strong focus on practical innovation, enterprise sales execution, and value creation in complex telecom environments.
