Since February 2020 Marta Antúnez has been the director of Wayra Barcelona, Telefónica's open innovation hub created in 2011 and which today is present in the entrepreneurial ecosystems of 10 countries with 7 hubs in Europe and Latin America. Wayra Barcelona is based in Torre Diagonal 00. MBA at INSEAD and graduated in Chemical Engineering at ETSEIB (UPC), Marta is passionate about startups, technology and digital business and has more than 14 years of experience launching innovative new companies to the market, both nationally and internationally. She was co-founder and CEO of dress2b, a fashion startup, and ChicPlace, a marketplace for charming shops that she sold to e-shop Ventures in 2016. Subsequently, she led as CEO the launch in Spain of the startup Ulule, the first crowdfunding platform in Europe, and was Director of Digital Ventures at the consultancy firm RocaSalvatella, where she led the areas of open innovation and corporate venturing, expanding her relationship with the entrepreneurial ecosystem. In 2020 she joined Wayra to lead the Barcelona hub, coordinating investments, driving the business development of the startup portfolio with Telefónica and helping companies to scale globally.
