Do I require a visa to enter Spain?

Where can I get my visa support letter?
The visa support letter is now called Attendance Confirmation letter. We have changed this to allow all attendees to be able to travel to the event even though travel to Spain is still restricted. If you would normally need a visa to enter Spain, you should still follow the same process. You will be asked when you fill in your Attendance Confirmation information if you require a visa.
What is an Attendance Confirmation?
All individuals participating in the event from outside of the European Union and Schengen Area must follow this process to facilitate entry into Spain:
Complete your online registration for the event using the MWC21 Barcelona Registration System;
- All individuals seeking entry to Spain must be fully registered for MWC21 Barcelona
- After completing registration, the GSMA will provide relevant information to the Spanish government for visa and border control purposes
- On completion of registration, you will receive a MWC Barcelona 2021 Attendance Confirmation. Please have this to hand when contacting your consulate or visa issuing authority and with you when you travel to attend the event"
When can I apply for my visa?
For MWC21, we are providing all attendees with an Attendance Confirmation to assist with business travel into Spain. Information will be collected during the registration process of the country you will be travelling from. If in addition to this travel documentation you also require a letter to support your visa application, you will be given the opportunity to select that at the same time. There is some additional information that you are required to submit for your visa application.
Because GSMA Ltd. is a U.S. incorporated company, it is obliged to comply with trade sanctions that are imposed by the U.S. government. Those trade sanctions prohibit GSMA Ltd. from issuing an attendance confirmation / visa support letter to delegates from sanctioned countries. Please note that regardless of your registration, you will not be allowed access to MWC if you (individually) or the company you represent is subject to U.S. sanctions. How do I get my Attendance Confirmation / visa support letter?
Your Attendance Confirmation letter will be sent to your main email account as a PDF attachment after your registration is fully completed and any outstanding payment is settled. You can also access a copy via your registration account by clicking on Inbox from your home page. If you have selected for visa support, this information will be contained within the same letter.
How can I get an original Attendance Confirmation / visa support letter?
As per our terms and conditions, GSMA will not provide hard copies of Attendance Confirmations / visa support letters.
