Fraunhofer FOKUS develops efficient, scalable and application-optimized communication technologies and architectures for the digital world. We provide the necessary expertise, the communications infrastructure in form of modular software tools and flexible technology testbeds and enable the realization of portable demonstrators and realistic reviews of the latest concepts and technologies.
In 2024 we are offering the worldwide first 6G core network implementation, the Organic6GCore Network toolkit: a new software-oriented approach to cloud-native, ultra-flexible and ultra-scalable core network services as well as the Open5GCore software toolkit enabling deployment of customized campus networks, nomadic networks and testbeds, real-time communication and integration with satellite and 3D systems.
