Speaker Bio

Mike leads Product for YouTube Infrastructure, which means overseeing “everything that happens between the time a creator uploads a video to the time pixels appear on a viewer’s screen.” This means managing YouTube’s systems that process, store and serve reliable, high quality video at planet-scale. Mike does this for all YouTube Apps (YouTube, YouTube TV, YouTube Kids etc.) and across all platforms (mobile, TVs, Web etc.)

Prior to YouTube, Mike founded an online video portal, built a mobility assistive robotic suit, launched a wearable health monitor and productionized a consumer mesh WiFi product. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Management from Montreal’s Concordia University and an MBA from MIT Sloan.
