Speaker Bio
Emir Aboulhosn is a serial telecom entrepreneur and technology executive with a proven record of building and exiting high-impact ventures in digital connectivity. Over the past two decades, he has founded and led companies that have transformed how operators and device manufacturers deliver mobile, eSIM, and entitlement technologies.
He began his career by founding SynerDrive Technologies, an early peer-to-peer enterprise file-sharing platform whose core IP and technology were acquired by Microsoft in 2004, marking his first successful exit.
In 2011, Aboulhosn launched Roam Mobility, introducing a disruptive “roaming-replacement” service that reshaped the Canadian telecom industry by eliminating roaming fees for cross-border travelers. The company achieved national retail distribution and was acquired by 2Caos Inc. in 2017.
From there, he founded Otono Networks Inc., spun out of Roam Mobility to pioneer advanced eSIM orchestration and network automation. Otono was later acquired by IDEMIA, where Aboulhosn served as Vice President of Digital Connectivity, managing the global eSIM domain across consumer, IoT, and automotive sectors. He also led IDEMIA’s first migration of eSIM infrastructure to Microsoft Azure, establishing a partnership that continues today.
In 2021, he founded NETLYNC Mobile Communication Technologies Limited, creator of the world’s first Entitlements-as-a-Service (EaaS®) platform. Under his leadership, NETLYNC is recognized by Apple as a core technology partner in entitlements globally and collaborates closely with mobile operators and major OEMs, providing professional services and entitlement expertise that drive next-generation connectivity.
Aboulhosn’s ventures consistently reflect innovation, operational excellence, and measurable value creation across the global telecom ecosystem.
