Session Description
As the pace of AI development accelerates, the global rollout of powerful AI tools is often outpacing safeguards for ethics, safety, and accountability. While there is strong enthusiasm for AI’s potential, growing public concern and rising governance challenges reflect deep uncertainty. A recent global survey found that more than 65% of consumers in major markets say they worry about AI-related risks such as privacy, bias, and misuse. At the same time, the number of countries working on AI laws, guidelines, or strategies has surged, with over 30 jurisdictions publicly drafting or adopting AI-governance measures to be in place as we move into 2026.
This session confronts the “dark side” of AI head-on, exploring how industry players and regulators worldwide can respond to growing ethical, security, and trust challenges.
