Hong Liu Joined GSMA in 2017, responsible for technical projects including 5G, AI, Edge Computing, IoT, Identity, and working groups including eSIM, Network, Terminal Steering, within Greater China Region, leads the reports on AI in Network Use Cases and Powered by SA Case Studies, and leads 5G and AI in GSMA Greater China.
Worked in China Mobile Research Institute responsible for IP Network, IMS, EPC, 5G and Standardization, etc. Head of 3GPP and GSMA within China Mobile. Participated in 10+ internal standards drafting and discussion in 3GPP, IETF, GSMA, W3C and was deeply involved in creating NGMN. Was the vice chair of 3GPP System Architecture Working Group and a winner of Chinese Outstanding Patented Innovation Gold Medal.
