12 March 2021, London: GSMA introduces TelcoDR, the public cloud transformation specialist, as one of the largest exhibitors by floor space at MWC Barcelona 2021. TelcoDR has expanded its presence at the show with more than 6,000m2 of floorspace, making it one of the largest exhibitor spaces at the show. It will create a stand exclusively focused on ways to leverage the public cloud in telecom.
The new booking follows the launch of the MWC Barcelona 2021 health and safety plan, Committed Community. The multi-layered plan, approved by the Catalan health authorities, is designed to ensure an environment that will keep everyone safe, including staff, workers, exhibitors, visitors, suppliers, partners, and the people of Barcelona.
Making its debut as a hybrid event, the theme of MWC Barcelona 2021 is Connected Impact, exploring how the entire mobile ecosystem can transform our lives. TelcoDR will create a showcase for the most exciting cloud innovators in the telecommunications sector who will demonstrate the cloud transformation opportunity for the industry.
“Following an extremely successful MWC Shanghai event in February, it is time to reconvene the global mobile ecosystem, safely in-person in Barcelona, and virtually for those unable to attend in person,” said John Hoffman, CEO, GSMA Ltd. “There is a real appetite in the industry to connect people, industry and society, and TelcoDR’s commitment to MWC Barcelona 2021 is proof of that.”
“Public cloud is crucial to the future of telecommunications and will enable operators to transform their networks, IT workloads and processes to create massive efficiencies, innovate and become much more profitable,” said Danielle Royston, CEO and Founder, TelcoDR. “MWC Barcelona is the best place for the mobile and technology industry to do business, and we are delighted to lead the conversation about the public cloud at the Fira Gran Via this June and July.”

Founded and led by telecom’s leading public cloud evangelist, Danielle Royston (DR), TelcoDR is catalyzing a radical shake-up of the traditional telco. By extolling the immense business value of the public cloud, she is proving the value of this innovation – to subscribers, to operators and to the wider telco industry. TelcoDR advises communication services providers (CSPs) of all sizes on how to best maximize the use of the public cloud.
As a thought leader and industry educator, TelcoDR works closely with telco execs to develop and execute strategies for wholesale public cloud migration, enabling organizations to achieve massive savings, grow revenues, strengthen teams, acquire talent and improve and enhance subscriber experiences. Through guidance and practical hands-on support, TelcoDR believes in order for the industry to survive they must start by disrupting themselves – and it starts by moving to the public cloud.
