Every year, on behalf of the global mobile industry, the GSMA recognises one country that has demonstrated impactful, positive changes in digital policy and telecom regulation during the previous 12 to 18 months. This longstanding honour has been presented since 2005.
VietNam’s receipt of the GSMA Government Leadership Award is a clear recognition of the country’s decisive, forward-looking approach to digital policy and telecom regulation. Over the past 18 months, Vietnam has delivered one of the most comprehensive and coordinated policy agendas for mobile connectivity in the Asia-Pacific region combining ambitious national targets with pragmatic regulatory reform, investor-friendly spectrum policy and a strong commitment to inclusion and sustainability.
