BagID

Part of the Aena Open Innovation Program, Aena Ventures, The BagID project focuses on the development of a collaborative decision-making platform (B-CDM) for airport baggage management, aimed at the end-to-end monitoring of the checked baggage journey and the real-time notification of its operational status to airlines and handling companies. In addition, passengers will be able to receive real-time updates on the status of their baggage through the airline.

Furthermore, the platform will integrate a geolocation system for baggage equipped with tracking solutions, either through dedicated devices or electronic tags (EBT – Electronic Bag Tag). Complementarily, the project includes the development of an SDK to facilitate the adoption and integration of the EBT ecosystem within the industry, contributing to the optimization of airport processes, the enhancement of passenger experience, and the promotion of operational sustainability.
