Fraunhofer FOKUS develops efficient, scalable, and application-optimized communication technologies and architectures for the digital world. We provide the necessary expertise, the communications infrastructure in form of modular software tools and flexible technology testbeds and enable the realization of portable demonstrators and realistic reviews of the latest concepts and technologies.

Fraunhofer FOKUS offers a first Agentic Core. Based on the highly innovative Open6GCore 3GPP-aligned toolkit designed for cloud-native, ultra-flexible and ultra-scalable core networks, a pervasive layer of AI has been added in which decisions ranging from specification to code to deployment to runtime adaptations to services offered to users are made by autonomous agents. Together with OpenLANES, the large network emulator which validates AI decisions in very complex environments, an end-to-end, convergent telecom-AI environment is created, giving the opportunity to bring your research to the forefront of a rapidly changing environment.
