The Illinois Department of Commerce Office of Trade and Investment (OTI) opens overseas markets for Illinois companies and promotes foreign direct investment in Illinois. OTI strives to raise Illinois' profile as a global business leader through a network of professionals focusing on improving the state's economy worldwide. With headquarters in Chicago and 6 foreign offices around the world, the Department of Commerce's Office of Trade and Investment is dedicated to helping small and medium sized businesses expand their global reach and export abroad. OTI provides business and lead generation support to Illinois companies through organized international trade missions, industry focused tradeshows and individual marketing assistance to identify key strategic partners and distributors. The team also assists foreign owned companies with soft landing, including regional collaboration and intergovernmental coordination, site selection, project-specific data analysis and incentives.
