Giacomo Robustelli

Speaker Bio

Giacomo Robustelli is Vice President for European Affairs & Economic Studies at TIM (Telecom Italia), where he leads the company’s engagement with EU institutions and the GSMA on regulatory, competition and digital policy matters. Since joining TIM in 2019, he has been responsible for shaping the group’s positioning on key European telecom issues.


He previously headed external relations at Tiscali and began his career in telecoms in 2008 with a WiMax start-up. In 2012 he co-founded the Brussels-based online newspaper Eunews. Before entering the telecom sector, he held roles at Poste Italiane in brand, advertising and new business development.


He holds an MSc in European Studies from the London School of Economics (LSE) and a degree in Political Science from Rome. A former international-level fencer, he currently cooperates with several NGOs.
