Amol Phadke

Speaker Bio

Amol Phadke is a Senior Executive Business Leader, providing technology and business leadership in all areas of AI, cloud, software networks and IT, Big Tech, and telecommunications industry, specialising in strategy definition, driving execution of large-scale engineering and innovation development/delivery units, and leading global multi-discipline teams.

Amol is currently Chief Transformation Officer at Tech Mahindra supporting the CEO on various strategic initiatives across the company including elevating the communications Industry vertical globally. Prior to Tech Mahindra, Amol served as Executive Vice President and Group Chief Technology Officer at Telenor Group, and a member of Telenor’s Group Executive Management Team. He led the Group Technology organisation at the headquarters in Norway and was responsible for setting Telenor’s overall technology strategy and Research & Innovation ambitions. Amol was also responsible for the Group Security strategy as well as global ecosystem partnerships. Amol was also the Group Chief Procurement officer and Chair of Telenor Procurement Company. Prior to joining Telenor, Amol was at Google Cloud and served as the Global GM for the Communications Service Provider Industry Vertical.

Amol has over 25 years of global telecom Industry experience and has worked at Accenture, Alcatel-Lucent (now Nokia), and BT Group in several leadership roles across US, India, Singapore, and UK. Amol is a Founding Partner at an Angel Investment Company that invests in global tech startups that are at an early incubation stage. Amol served on the Board of True Corporation and True Corporation Executive Committee and currently serves on the Board of TM Forum and the TM Forum Autonomous Network Mission Board.

Amol is frequently featured as a keynote speaker at various Industry events, and publishes in leading media online and print outlets on topics including the digital transformation of the telecommunications industry, AI, and cloud-native evolution including 5G. Amol is also an author of the best-selling book “The Future Home in the 5G Era” that offers a unique perspective from a user context on the impact of 5G on the future home. Amol lives in Surrey, London, UK with his family, and enjoys running and playing Badminton and Cricket in his spare time.

Amol holds a Double degree Executive MBA from UCLA, California-NUS, Singapore and was awarded the C H Wee Gold Medal for outstanding academic achievement. Amol also holds a Master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering from USC, California and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from University of Mumbai.
