Dr. Sibel Tombaz is the CEO of Ericsson Korea Partners at Ericsson, leading the company’s Customer Unit and country operations in South Korea. Ericsson plays a pivotal role in supporting Korea’s continued leadership in advanced telecommunications and digital infrastructure.

With more than a decade at Ericsson, Dr. Tombaz previously led the Product Line Cloud and Purpose-Built 5G RAN in Stockholm, driving global innovation in 5G, Cloud RAN, and energy-efficient network solutions, including the award-winning Ericsson Spectrum Sharing technology. She has been at the forefront of product strategy, AI-driven network evolution, and high-performance radio solutions.

In South Korea, she is championing the acceleration of 5G Standalone and AI-native network architectures as critical foundations for 6G readiness. A strong advocate for programmable networks and open APIs, she works closely with Korean communication service providers to enable differentiated connectivity, automation, and new monetization models. Her leadership focuses on positioning Korea at the forefront of AI-powered, high-performance, and sustainable mobile networks.
