Christian Calamarte, UpNext SpaceRAN Demonstrator Technical Manager, Airbus

Christian Calamarte leads the technical activities for the Airbus UpNext SpaceRAN demonstrator, which focuses on testing 5G NTN solutions. Following 20 years with Airbus Defence & Space working on commercial and military satellite communication systems (GEO and NGSO), Christian joined Airbus UpNext to develop a complete 5G NTN demonstrator. This project aims to test new technologies and collaborative frameworks alongside key technical partners from O-RAN Alliance.
