Andrea Cartwright

Speaker Bio

Andrea is Senior Manager, Responsible AI, and leads the GSMA’s Responsible AI practice, championing ethical AI adoption across the telecoms ecosystem.  She works closely with operators and industry partners to strengthen responsible AI maturity and develop best practices within a global, operatorled community committed to safe and trustworthy AI. Her work supports the broader integration and uptake of responsible AI across the ecosystem.  

Prior to joining the GSMA in March 2025, she has spent more than 25 years working across telecommunications, airlines, and digital startups, focusing on transformation and digital innovation across Australia, Asia, and Europe.  Andrea holds an MA in Philosophy and AI, a Bachelor of Computer Science, an MBA, and a Graduate Diploma in International Law (Human Rights).
