Silviu Petricescu

Speaker Bio

Silviu is a seasoned technology executive with over two decades of experience at the intersection of telecommunications, cloud computing, and emerging technologies. Currently serving as Director of AI for Impact at GSMA, he leads initiatives that harness artificial intelligence to drive positive change across the mobile industry and beyond.

His career spans leadership roles at Vodafone Romania, Vodafone Group, Input Output Global (IOG), and Amazon Web Services, where he has consistently driven digital transformation and business innovation. At Vodafone, Silviu managed mobile connectivity products and led global teams developing Mobile Broadband, M2M, and IoT propositions across multiple markets. He later served as Strategy Director at IOG, one of the world's top blockchain companies, before joining AWS to lead the development of Telco professional services offerings. In this role, he enabled over 30 telecommunications customers and partners to build and resell solutions leveraging AWS Cloud services, including IoT and AI/ML capabilities.

Silviu holds an Executive MBA from Oxford's Saïd Business School. He is passionate about translating emerging technologies into products and services that enhance everyday life.
