Robert (Bob) Gazda is Senior Director in the Wireless Lab at InterDigital, where he leads research on AI-native 6G architectures and distributed computing convergence. He drives development of real-time systems that integrate Generative AI across device, network, and cloud to enable adaptive, intelligence-driven services across applications and networks.
Bob’s work addresses key architectural challenges for future networks, including joint compute and communications quality of service, semantic and intent-aware networking, and distributed AI orchestration. With more than 20 years of experience in wireless telecommunications, networking, and embedded systems, he brings deep architectural expertise and industry perspective to advancing next-generation mobile systems.
Bob is a Senior Member of the IEEE and holds a Master of Software Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from Villanova University, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University.
