Dave Wheater is VP Automotive at PhysicsX, where he leads the deployment of AI-native engineering solutions across complex, high-performance environments, ensuring that cutting-edge physics AI translates into measurable, real-world impact.

A graduate of Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Cambridge, Dave began his career in Formula 1 with Benetton and Renault, where he played a key role in the team's championship-winning car development as Deputy Head of Aerodynamics. He went on to hold senior leadership roles at Williams Racing and Alpine F1 Team, ultimately serving as Technical Director – Aerodynamics.

With decades of elite motorsport experience, Dave combines deep expertise with the operational discipline required to deliver high-stakes engineering programmes at scale.
