Mustafa Isik

Speaker Bio

Mustafa Isik is Chief Technologist for Sovereignty at Amazon Web Services (AWS). He supports customers worldwide across the public sector, regulated industries, and enterprises on strategic IT challenges, cybersecurity, and digital sovereignty. He particularly assists organizations in highly regulated sectors and government decision-makers in enhancing their IT security, data protection, and digital sovereignty through AWS technologies.

Mustafa ensures that customer and regulatory perspectives inform the continuous development of AWS services, technologies, validations, and certifications, enabling organizations to leverage cloud scalability while meeting stringent compliance requirements.

As a computer scientist with an M.S. degree from the Technical University of Munich (TUM), he brings extensive technology industry experience. Before joining AWS, he worked for search engine companies in California and served as head of software development and platforms at Bavarian Broadcasting (BR), where he led the digital transformation of numerous ARD joint products including BR24, Mediathek, and ARD Audiothek. In this role, he pioneered the adoption of cloud computing for production systems within ARD, Germany's largest public broadcasting network.
