Dr. Ahmed Armaan Siddiqui, the Chief Executive Officer of Grameen Healthtech Limited (GHTL) — a limited company under the Grameen Group — is a dynamic leader driving the digital transformation of Global healthcare ecosystem. With over two decades of expertise in telecom, Tech, Innovation, and business transformation.
Dr. Siddiqui is leading the worldwide implementation of Shukhee – A Complete Healthcare Solution, a groundbreaking initiative redefining how primary healthcare is delivered and accessed in Bangladesh and abroad. Inspired by the vision of Nobel Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus to achieve zero poverty, zero unemployment, and zero carbon emission, Dr. Siddiqui is building a sustainable digital health model that merges technology, affordability, and inclusivity. Shukhee integrates telemedicine, electronic medical records, e-pharmacy, diagnostics, and wellness services into a single digital ecosystem, ensuring accessible and continuous healthcare for all acquiring 3.1 million users in less than 2 years of the commercial launch, the fastest growing Healthtech service of the world. Under his leadership, the platform has expanded to more than 9,000 pharmacies/ care centres nationwide, transforming each into a Digital Primary Health Center where patients can access licensed BMDC doctors through teleconsultation for only 20 BDT (USD 0.16), along with e-prescriptions, digital health cards, and integrated follow-up services. The system also empowers patients with chronic disease management, wellness tracking, and preventive health education through Digital Social Prescribing Ecosystem— creating a data-driven approach to community wellness.
Dr. Siddiqui sits at the board of Grameen Healthcare Services Ltd, the organization that runs 7 eye care hospital in Bangladesh, he is also the board member of SHSIRC the upcoming 750 Beds Tertiary hospital of Grameen group, he is the acting CEO and Board Member of Shamadhan Services Limited, the Fintech Initiative of Grameen group and he also sits at the board of Grameen Viola Waters. Prior to leading Grameen Group subsidiaries, Dr. Siddiqui served as an expat at the Axiata group Malaysia serving Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Nepal, Myanmar and Cambodia market as the innovation evangelist.
He played a key role in launching Bangladesh’s first mobile financial service (bKash), first M-health service (Milvik), first mobile wireless internet (Zoom), first TOWERCO (edotco), and first OTT platform (Binge). His innovative contributions have earned him multiple national and international recognitions, including CommunicAsia, GLOMO, Bangladesh Brand Forum Awards and so on. Academically, Dr. Siddiqui holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David and executive education credentials from Harvard Business School, INSEAD, and IMD.
