Wilson L. White is Vice President of Government Affairs & Public Policy at Google, based in Singapore, leading global teams for Platforms & Devices (Android, Chrome, Pixel, Photos, AR/VR) and all government affairs operations for the Asia-Pacific region. Wilson has two decades of experience working as an engineer and technology lawyer, and his work involves advising Google's executive leadership and engaging global policymakers on critical regulatory issues in AI, cybersecurity, competition, and privacy.
Before his current position, Wilson was a patent litigation attorney at Google, defending the company in patent infringement lawsuits and advocating for patent reform legislation. He also worked as a litigator at Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP in Atlanta, Georgia, and as a federal judicial law clerk.
Wilson has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from North Carolina State University and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law. Additionally, he serves on corporate boards, is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Maryland Technology Enterprise Institute, and currently lives in Singapore with his family.
