Ian Ravenscroft

Speaker Bio

Ian is Vice President of Mobile Money at Huawei Technologies, where he leads the strategy, development and deployment of mobile financial services platforms and solutions globally. With more than 30 years of experience spanning telecommunications and digital financial services, he has played a key role in scaling fintech ecosystems and enabling operator-led financial inclusion initiatives.

Previously, he served as CTO of M-PESA at Vodafone, leading the transformation of M-PESA across Africa from a centrally hosted platform to a next-generation, Africa-hosted open digital ecosystem. His career includes senior regional and global technology leadership roles across Europe and Africa, including CIO and Head of Global Applications positions within Vodafone Group.

Ian brings informed expertise in platform strategy, digital payments, ecosystem growth and large-scale transformation in emerging markets.
