Rita Skjærvik

Speaker Bio

Rita Skjærvik serves as Executive Vice President for People, Sustainability and External Relations in Telenor Group, reporting directly to the President and CEO. She has held this position since 2022.

She has a background from senior and top management positions in both the public and private sectors, with extensive experience in strategy development, proactive strategic communication, crisis management, and stakeholder relations.

Since joining Telenor in 2014, she has held several significant positions, including Executive Vice President for Group Strategy and External Relations, and Senior Vice President and Head of the CEO Office. Her professional experience prior to Telenor Group includes governmental roles, having served as State Secretary and Deputy Chief of Staff for the Prime Minister of Norway, among others.

Ms Skjærvik also contributes with her expertise through multiple Board assignments. She is a Board member of CelcomDigi Berhad, one of Malaysia’s leading mobile network operators with more than 20 million customers. In addition, she sits on the Board of the Telenor Procurement Company (TPC) based in Singapore, as well as Abelia, the business association representing Norwegian knowledge and technology enterprises within the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (NHO).

Ms Skjærvik holds a Master of Political Science (Cand.polit.) from the University of Oslo, Norway.
