Speaker Bio

Adrian Gorham is the Director of Anti-Fraud and Scam Prevention at GSMA. He is responsible for coordinating the global scam initiatives across the GSMA membership, ensuring that coordinated action is taken aligned with technical controls, innovation and effective operational collaboration across the broader digital ecosystem.

 

Prior to joining GSMA he had over 25 years’ experience at Director level discharging responsibilities in the Fraud and Security arena as CISO and CSO for a major UK Telco. During this period, he also led various functions such as Property, Health and Safely and Business Operations which included the Graduate and Apprentice programme.  His roles including working at PLC, Group and Operating company level and for many years he chaired the UK’s Communication Crime Strategy Group (CCSG) which created the first UK Fraud Charter.  He represented the industry on the Ministerial Fraud Task Force and, for 10 years, was a Pension Trustee for Telefonica/O2, chairing various committees. 

 

During his early career, he spent 10 years as an Investigator in BT’s Investigation Department.  He then moved into the BT’s Global operations unit before concluding as Head of Security for Asia and Europe within BT Security.
