Mingxi Fan

Speaker Bio

Dr. Mingxi Fan is Senior General Manager of Wireless Technology Group at Mediatek, Inc., responsible for wireless system and hardware engineering for worldwide products, as well as research and standardization of cellular and connectivity technologies. He has over 25 years of experience driving innovation and commercial landing of key technology initiatives across 3G/4G/5G, Wi-Fi, and edge compute. Prior to his current role, Dr. Fan served as the head of strategy at XCOM Labs and vice president of engineering at Qualcomm. He holds over 200 granted patents and received top innovation and contributor awards in multiple companies. He received his Bachelor, Master and Ph.D degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA, where he also received the MIT Ernst A. Guillemin EE Master's thesis award.
