Acute XR, Founder & CEO
Speaker Bio
Dominik Kirchdorfer is Founder & CEO of Acute XR, a European immersive technology company building biofeedback-driven XR experiences for mental health, therapy, and human performance.
Acute XR was launched in 2024 following Dominik’s decision to leave a senior EU digital policy role in order to pursue an MBA and build a product-driven company from the ground up.
Dominik holds postgraduate degrees from the London School of Economics and the University of Glasgow, and completed his MBA jointly at ESADE Business School and the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.
Prior to founding Acute XR, he worked extensively on EU digital and innovation policy, including roles linked to European institutions and industry associations.
In 2020, he was awarded the European Citizens’ Prize by the European Parliament for fostering European integration through Euro Babble, a multilingual online magazine he co-founded under the European Future Forum. He is also co-author of “Fear of the Future – and Why It Will Turn Out Better Than We Think”, published by the European Liberal Forum.
Today, Dominik brings a founder’s perspective to debates on EU digital policy reform—arguing for regulatory frameworks that protect citizens while enabling European startups to experiment, scale, and compete globally.
